Community Payback ‘dream team’ rides to the rescue of charity shop

Dear Owen, – Just a quick line to say a huge ‘thank you’ to your good-self and the team you brought with you, for clearing out our recently closed St. Luke’s Hospice charity shop.

Everyone worked really hard and turned the job round in two days – a phenomenal success!

The fellas who assisted our retired volunteer Norman (aged 82) with unloading at the dump were truly appreciated by him, especially as he finds stairs difficult!

Overall, this little project would have taken us ages to have completed without you and the team (dare I say Dream Team, dare I??) and would have incurred a substantial financial impact, which has now been saved. Coupled with our tight time-line, it really has been an impressive achievement!

Once again, thank you so much for riding to our rescue and if something similar ever crops up again, we will without doubt be calling in the cavalry!!

May I also take this opportunity to wish you, Chris and the Community Payback lads a great Christmas and a happy, successful New Year.

With kind regards

David Emery
