Info about our Partners

We have formed partnerships with a range of organisations which provide specialist services and support for us and the people we supervise.

Nacro is a social justice charity with over 50 years experience in helping people to change their lives. In Essex, Nacro provides resettlement services in prison and then ‘through the gate’ into the community. This includes providing advice, information and programmes on:

  • accommodation
  • education, training and employment
  • finance, benefits and debt

Open Road is a charity which provides specialist services to support people to make positive changes in their lives.

They provide a suite of specialist interventions and support for women who have offended, including:

  • Drop-in support
  • A women’s groupwork programme designed to tackle the specific reasons why women offend
  • A mentoring scheme to assist with practical life skills and signposting to further support

Ormiston Families is an East Anglian charity established over 35 years ago and aims to support children and their families. They support people in the community and in prison to maintain positive relationships with their families, and minimise the impact of offending behaviour on their children.

They offer a range of family support interventions designed to break the cycle of offending in families – including:

  • mentoring
  • family mediation
  • parenting courses

User Voice is a leading charity whose work to improve rehabilitation is led and delivered by ex-offenders. One of User Voice’s aims is to help shape and improve the criminal justice system by bringing together the users and providers of criminal justice services.

Together we have formed a partnership to run service user councils to help ensure the views of those we work with are heard and incorporated into the delivery of our operations. The councils provide a platform for service users to have a voice and focus on collective challenges and solutions.
