Accessibility Statement

The World Wide Web Consortium wants the “web” to be truly available to all. We aim to make sure that our website can be used by as many people as possible, so that people who have impairments, or use special assistive technologies, will have an inclusive experience. Sometimes this is difficult because people who visit websites may be looking at them using anything ranging from a really old computer, with very old browser software, to the latest mobile phone/iPad or computer, with the most up-to-date browser. However, our web designers have tested our website for various scenarios to give as many people as possible an equal experience.

You may find that older browsers do not display this website at the compliance level that newer browsers are able to do. For instance, forms may be displayed differently to the way they are viewed through a more modern browser.

Elements within our website that do not currently meet the conformance level we would wish have been identified and we constantly work towards improving aspects of our site which do not fully comply with the standards we aspire to.

Linking to external websites

We cannot vouch for the level of accessibility of the websites of other organisations where we have linked to their web pages.

Stylesheets have been applied to our content which make our website more pleasing to the eye. These stylesheets can be removed through the browser settings for those users who prefer plain web pages or who wish to add their own stylesheets. The removal of stylesheets does not affect the meaning of our web pages.

Whenever possible any documents that have been published on our website have been converted to PDF format.

Reasonable adjustments have been made to ensure that digital publications available on our website are accessible. However, you may come across earlier versions of files on our site which are not as accessible as we would wish. Please contact us if you need a document in a different format and we will do our best to support you.

Making it easier for all our users

We have also provided a search facility to make it easier for all our website visitors to quickly find relevant content within our website.
